Lost: Everybody Loves Hugo

Favorite Moments
I cheered when Ilana blew up.

WTF
This whole episode made me very angry. I thought it was insulting to the loyal viewers. At least in previous episodes they have made an effort to be creative in how the characters in the sideways world are glimpsing the Island world. In this epi, they just sat Hurley down and had Libby explain it to him as if he were a child. Then when they kiss, he remembers?! If this all boils down to LOVE I will strangle someone.

How they split Ilana's camp into two groups was so contrived. Miles would never have gone with Ben and Richard, but now they conveniently have that group, which is pretty much worthless at this point, and the candidate group together with (again, how convenient) a pilot. Please!

The whispers! Souls that are stuck! Purgatory! They said the island was NOT Purgatory! Oh, it's not purgatory for the survivors so it's okay? Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!

Last week, I couldn't understand why Jin was on Hydra Island. Now I know it was to keep him and Sun from reuniting this week. BS!

In our Parallel Universe...
Desmond's car would have been filled with seaweed and water damaged from last week's trip into the drink.

Lost: Happily Ever After

Favorite Moments
I liked this episode a lot better the second time around. After the first watch, I just kind of sat in my big comfy chair staring at the television waiting for some sort of understanding to wash over me. Needless to say, it never came.

Desmond! Love him.

I loved that Desmond and Charles Widmore are now BFFs. I got a good feeling inside when Charles offered Des the MacCutcheon.

WTF
Is with Eloise's hair? Does all that knowledge of all the different 'realities' send a continuous electric charge through her brain that makes her hair blow out like that?

If they boil 6 seasons of mystery, drama, and confusion down to "All you need is Love" I will strangle someone.

Yeah Right Moments
Did that hospital have no security whatsoever?

Penny, who obviously is not a runner at all based on how she was running, wasn't scared out of her mind by the creepy stranger stalking her at the stadium? Creepy guy comes out of nowhere, is obviously coming on to her, passes out, then asks her out for coffee. Sure, why not? Let me just get my cell phone out and alert the police and then we will all meet wherever you want.

In my feeble opinion...
When someone is near death or in an altered consciousness he/she gets a glimpse of the "other life".

Why didn't Sayid kill Dirty Tina Fey?

Lost: The Package

Favorite Moments
This episode didn't give us much meat, but it really moved us forward. I liked that it involved everyone on the island, and the sidestory moved along quickly.

I liked the interaction between Jack and Sun on the beach. I got the feeling Jack is becoming Jacob-like.

Yeah Desmond! However, I don't think he is going to last very long.

WTF Moment
That Clockwork Orange torture room on Hydra Island still gives me the creeps.

Random Thoughts
Sun's hair is really long on the island.

Why didn't Widmore's Dork Patrol just kill everyone in Smokey-Locke's camp instead of tranquilizing them?

I am still sticking by my theory that the sidestories are life as if Jacob never interfered, and could possibly be if Jacob never existed.

Was it wrong to gloat when Mikail's (SP?) eye got shot out?

Why can't Smokey-Locke cross water in smoke form?

In our parallel universe...
When Jin was carrying Sun out of the restaurant and she told him she was pregnant, he would have dropped her.

An episode about "The Package" would have been about Sawyer. Get it?

Lost: Ab Aeterno

Favorite Moments
A kinder, gentler Esau (MIB).

Any time Richard said "Isabella."

Jacob pulling some Sayid moves when he was beating the crap out of Richard.

WTF Moments
Why didn't Richard ever use his feet when trying to get water or get the nail back?

What was the point of the boar eating the corpses on the ship? How did it get down there and back up again?

In my feeble opinion...
Jacob is an ass. He is not all good and MIB is not all bad.

This is all a game between Jacob and MIB, and everyone is just a pawn.

Richard was the first other.

Yeah Right
That was the easiest necklace clasp in the world. Not to mention a modern one. I cannot do clasps like that with two good hands in bright light in good health with the aid of a 3-way mirror, but Isabella on her death bed, no problem, and then Richard, not even looking, with one hand has it on in a second.

Randon Thoughts
Jacob and MIB got haircuts.

That was one heavy-duty close up shot of Jacob on the beach, I think I saw his nose hairs.

Everybody's got a price.

Lost: Recon

Favorite Moments
Loved this episode mainly because it was about Sawyer, but also because it moved.

Loved that Miles and Sawyer were partners

Smokey-Locke kicking some Crazy Claire ass

Loved that Sawyer was playing everyone. Making deals with Smokey-Locke, then Widmore, then telling Kate his real plan. And he did this by telling everyone the truth. Deception through honesty. Awesome.

Tina Fey on Hydra Island!

WTF...
Is with Sayid and Claire?

Claire was creepy even when holding hands with Kate. What was up with that?

Sayid just watching as Claire is attacking Kate.

Claire has definitely left the land of the right minded people. That whole camp with Smokey-Locke's people is Crazytown.

Creepy pile of dead people on Hydra Island

This means something...maybe...
Kate didn't touch Smokey-Locke when he offered his hand to help her up.

Claire holding Kate's hand, besides being really creepy, gave me the impression she knew something about the way Smokey-Locke operates.

Random Thoughts
That is one huge sub to carry all those people.

Widmore has the dorkiest group of goons in the world.

They have been playing some really groovy music at the end of the last two episodes.

Who's gonna drive the sub?

According to my calculations after this episode, the Ajira flight landed like two days ago.

Why did the Hydra Island disappear too when Ben turned the donkey wheel?

Smokey-Locke's boobs are bigger than mine.

In our parallel universe...
When Charlotte and Sawyer were eating and he says "What?" She gives him a knowing look and says, "You know what." She would have followed it up with, "We're gonna get it on."

Lost: Dr. Linus

Favorite Moment
I have to admit that my favorite moment was the last scene. Giacchino score, slow-motion, reunion on the beach, reminiscent of Season 1. Gets me every time.

Yeah Right
All the phony baloney school scenes.
  • Students in rapt attention of their European History teacher
  • Totally condescending principal
  • Getting a principal job through blackmail
  • Giving heed to a substitute (I have been a substitute teacher and it wouldn't happen)
  • Someone looking like Alex being in History Club

In my feeble opinion...

Widmore has always been aligned with Smokey-Locke. That is why he told John that if he didn't go back to the island, the wrong side would win in the 'war'.

Now we know why they kept Miles around. To 'read' Jacob's ashes.

Dr. Linus could have done both. He could have waited until Reynolds wrote the letter of rec and then used the emails to get the principal's job.

Random Thoughts

The Black Rock is in amazing condition.

Alex Rousseau has an Amy Winehouse head.

How did Ben get out of the Temple alive?

In our parallel universe...

Miles would have gotten all kinds of messages from a bunch of other people's ashes mixed in with Jacob's

Sundown

Favorite Moments
Ben finds Sayid in the dirty hot tub room and when he realizes Sayid is visiting, if not a permanent resident of, Crazytown, he slowly backs out of the room.

Crazy Claire singing the creepiest version of Catch a Falling Star ever at the end.

Keamy getting shot and Sayid killing off Dogen and Lennon. Thank God they did not drag that out any longer.

Look between Kate and Smokey Locke at the end was great. Not sure what it means, but it was great. I think the last we knew, Kate thought Locke was dead so it could be shock on her face.

WTF Moments
The whole first 45 minutes. What a waste of time.

In my feeble opinion...
They are totally underusing Miles, but for consolation they are giving him some of the best lines of the season.

Sayid looked really good in this episode. However, in the sideways world he looked much shorter and had creepy hands.

No matter what world Sayid is in, he is trying to get redemption for past actions, but always gets dragged into killing people.

Paik is somehow connected to Keamy and/or Widmore.

Dogen said when he tortured Sayid the machine "tipped the wrong way." This does not mean it tipped toward bad, just not the way Dogen wanted it to tip. I am still not convinced that Smokey Locke is the bad guy, and Jacob is the good guy.

Random Thoughts
Nadia's voice totally grated on my nerves.

The exodus out of the temple reminded of The Ten Commandments movie.

Scene with Keamy reminded me of a Quentin Tarentino movie.

For being these ninja like, know everything, be everywhere badasses, the Others are the dumbest, most gullible people in the world.

In our parallel universe...
Sayid would have stabbed Kate. She was the first person he came across that he knew.
